Bajaj with its Platina series introduced one of the most fuel efficient bikes in India. In 2006, Bajaj launched the Platina 100cc which was based on the model of CT-100. With time, the Platina series made a platform in the market and Bajaj Platina 125 was introduced by the company with enhanced style and better techniques. Good looks of the bike are maintained by premium black shade matte finish alloy wheels, clear lens headlamp, matt finished black silencer with chrome finish foot rest, sporty instrument console, new color combination for graphics and decals, graphite tinted engine with transmission and chrome streaked side panels. Like the XCD 125 DTS-Si, Platina also comes with the ExhausTEC engine which is design to perform well. Bajaj Platina 125 is equipped with five speed manual transmission gearbox. The engine has the maximum power of 8.3 BHP at 7000 RPM where the maximum torque is of 10 Nm at 4000 RPM. The motorbike carries telescopic front suspension which is 125mm long as well as it is the longest 105mm travel SNS (Spring-N-Spring) rear suspension of the world in the class of 100 mm. This makes the ride smooth and pleasant. A ride control switch is present in the engine to achieve the top mileage as it makes the user identify optimum throttle opening.

Bajaj company claims that the bike can accommodate a mileage of 111 kmpl which is the highest mileage mark from any of the bikes running on petrol. Bajaj Platina 125 delivers 60 kmpl of mileage on the city roads and 95 kmpl of mileage on the highways. As the current trend of Bajaj bikes, the bike comes with Electric Start, Auto Choke, Maintenance Free Battery, Anti-Friction DU Bushes in the front fork and Twin Pilot Lamps. The measurements of the bike are, it is 1990 mm long, 770 mm wide and 1090 mm tall. The bike weighs around 110 kgs where the ground clearance of the motorcycle is 160 mm. The bike has a nice fuel tank capacity of 13 litres where 2 litres petrol goes into reserve. The top speed of the bike is of 95 kmph. The brakes at the rear as well as front tyre is a 100 mm drum brakes. Bajaj Platina 125 is available in four trendy colors which are Black with Red Decal, Black with Blue Decal, Black with Green Decal and Red with Red Decal.
