5th September 2012: Honda launched another 125cc bike and continues the still the most sold 125cc bike – Honda Shine. The name of the new machine is Honda CBF Stunner. The bike comes in three variants, Honda CBF Stunner Self Drum Alloy, Honda CBF Stunner Self Disc Alloy and Honda CBF Stunner PGM FI. The PGM FI model is the top model in its line up and is much expensive than the other two models. The bike is the new version of the Honda Stunner which was launched in the year 2008 and some features were not available in that bike. One of the feature which was not available in that bike was under cowl making it look totally unique from the other bikes of this segment. The features which the current model carries are:

* Programmed Fuel Injection technology taking out better performance from the same engine.

* Air-cooled, 4-stroke, mono cylinder, OHC engine displacing 124.7cc.

* 240mm diameter disc brake equipped at the front.

* A trend starting, ornately decorated under cowl.

* Perfectly measured handle bar weigths.

* Semi-fairing with trendy and catchy graphics.

* Wider rear tyre and both tubeless tyres with six spoke alloy wheels.

* Instrument console displaying tachometer, speedometer, trip meter, odometer and fuel gauge.

Honda, with its commuter segments bike, playing a good role in the market, it has also acquired about 12% market share under its control. Honda CBF Stunner Pgm Fi is a 125cc segment bike which stands in competition with Bajaj XCD, Gladiator SS and RS and TVS Flame. Honda has made a nice move by introducing this bike as people of India desire bikes which have a good shape and provide a nice fuel efficiency. Honda also has Shine series with 125cc engine falling into this segment. Stunner has made a healthy list of likers because of its sporty looks and a better mileage. Honda CBF Stunner Pgm Fi is powered with a 124.7cc, 4-stroke, single cylinder, air cooling engine which has five speed manual transmission. The maximum power of the bike is 11.6BHP at 8000RPM and a peak torque of 11.2Nm at 6250RPM which can make the bike go from 0 to 60 in just 5.20 seconds.

The styling of Honda CBF Stunner Pgm Fi is very sporty and very less maintenance is needed as it has a thick air filter and maintenance free battery. Bank Angle Sensor, Premium 3D Emblem, Handle Weight and the premium key are some of the advanced features of the bike. The PGM Fi technology present in Stunner makes it reduce the emission levels to 1/10th of the current emission norms in the country. There are some changes with the bike as it comes with tubeless tyres at both the front and rear. The front alloy wheel size is 80/100-17mm and the alloy wheel size of the rear one is 90/100-17mm.

Honda CBF Stunner Pgm Fi is one of a kind in the 125cc segment as it has integrated front cowl, sporty split seats, wider tubeless tyre at the front and the rear for all variants and a sporty foot step holder. For a comfortable and safe ride the bike is equipped with telescopic hydraulic forks suspension at the front and rear suspension present is a 3 step spring loaded hydraulic shock absorber where the front wheel is provided with a 240mm disc brake and the rear tyre has 130mm drum brakes. The bike is made available in two shades, CBR Silver Metallic and CBR Red. Unfortunately, the speedometer, trip meter and fuel gauge are all of analogue type which is a disadvantage to the bike.
