Honda Stunner CBF Self Drum Alloy Review

Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) has launched its first 125cc commuter segment bike and the variant is very stylish and sporty. The new machine is named as Honda CBF Stunner and is made available in three variants. These variants are differentiated on the basis of few minor technical changes. The top variant is Honda Stunner CBF PGM Fi who is embedded with a same engine but it creates more power output and torque value than the other models. The second model is Honda Stunner CBF Self Disc Alloy which is equipped with front disc brake. The base model is Stunner CBF Self Drum Alloy which is not equipped with disc brake at the front wheel. The integrated front body cowl, under cowl, sporty half chain case, sporty split rear seat and sharp rear and new graphics makes the stunner looks stunning. The machine is very sporty and good looking and is made available in three active colors, Pearl Sports Red, Sports Yellow, Space Silver Metallic and Black. The instrument cluster is an analogue one which consists of fuel gauge, tachometer, speedometer, trip meter and odometer. The dimensions of Honda Stunner CBF Self Drum Alloy are: length is 212 mm, width is 734 mm and height is 1111 mm. The kerb weight of the vehicle is 128 kg while its ground clearance and wheelbase possessions are 173 mm and 1271 mm, respectively. The bike has its body designed on the Advanced Design Diamond Frame. The suspensions fitted out in the machine are, at the front, there is a Telescopic Fork whereas at the rear end, there is 3 step spring loaded hydraulic shock absorber with box type rectangular swing arm. Honda Stunner CBF Self Drum Alloy is loaded with a 4-stroke, air cooled, OHC single cylinder engine which has a displacement of 124.7cc. The engine is associated with 5 speed constant mesh gearbox which has a 1 gear down and 4 gear up shift pattern. The engine can crank the maximum power of 11 BHP at the acceleration of 8000 RPM with the maximum torque value of 11 Nm which is brought out at 6500 RPM. The engine is incorporated with a paper type viscous air filter which reduces the maintenance cost and provides a hassle free ride. The bike can run from 0 to 60 kmph in mere 5.2 seconds. The top speed of the machine is 101 kmph. The bike is also very fuel efficient, the fuel consumption in city condition is 60 kmpl and on highways fuel consumption can decrease to 65 kmpl. The fuel tank capacity of the vehicle is 10 liters.

Honda, one of the most appreciated two-wheeler as well as automobile manufacturer in India, gained some quality fame with the launch of an extraordinary, sporty and stylish 125cc bike in three smart variants. The engine of all these three variants displaces the same capacity 124.7cc. Stunner CBF PGM-FI, the top variant has an air-cooled, 4 stroke, SI engine with Programmable Fuel Injection system that generates more power and torque from the same mill as well as the mileage with this engine is more as well. Other two variants of this bike are Stunner CBF Self Drum Alloy and Stunner CBF Self Disc Alloy, they come with a 4-stroke, air-cooled, single cylinder, OHC engine. Honda Stunner Self Drum Alloy, the base model of the bike is not equipped with PGM-FI technology and a front disc brake but other technical specifications of this variants are the same. The semi-fairing done to the bike along with under cowl, sporty half chain case, split seat and smart instrumentation makes it look more fascinating and appealing than the other bikes in this segment. The body of the machine are also given with the attractive graphics. The suspensions of the bike are also of high quality. The aggressive looks and the sporty and muscular design of Stunner makes it look stunning.

 

Mileage and Fuel Economy

Honda Stunner CBF Self Drum Alloy has been equipped without the PGM-FI technology of its top variant but it does not matter much as it is very low in price than its top variant. The bike can avail the rider a mileage of around 55kmpl on the city roads and around 65kmpl on the highways. The muscular fuel tank of the bike has the capacity to store 10 liters of fuel.  

Colors

The colors in which the machine comes enhances the beauty of the bike. The exuberant colors available with the bike are Sports Red, Black, Candy Palm Green and Pearl Sports Yellow. All these colors get are in a combination with black color due to its all black theme.

Honda Stunner CBF Self Drum Alloy with the 4-stroke engine displacing 124.7cc performs well in this segment. There is an under cowl equipped to the bike in the body color that lends the bike a sportier look. The bike is granted with the split seat and integrated grab bars with the sharp rears. There is an all black theme of the machine covering the alloy wheels, engine, side panels, muffler and its fuel tank. From every angle the looks of the bike are charming.  

Comfort Feature

The electric start facility given to the machine makes the beginning of the journey smooth and quick. The split seat giving a proper space to both the rider makes the journey comfortable. The tubeless tyres of the bike gives a tension-less ride. A wider tyre at the back of the machine makes rider comfortable at sharp turns also. The maintenance free battery reduces the maintenance cost of the vehicle.
