The least populated segment of two-wheelers in India is the cruiser bike and GV650 Aquila Pro is the entry level cruiser sports bike in India. Before this, Hyosung's ST7 has made its presence, however, could not really enthuse the bike lovers, and that is why the South Korean manufacturer brought Hyosung Gv650 Aquila Pro in the picture. This cruiser makes an overwhelming stand on the tracks, on highways especially. It is made for the buyers who love high end performance when they go for touring on highways.
Hyosung Gv650 Aquila Pro is powered by a V-Twin, DOHC engine with a displacement of 647cc. The liquid-cooled, fuel-injected, 8 Valve engine puts out a maximum power of 74bhp at 9000rpm and a peak torque this engine scoops out is 62.1Nm at 7500rpm. It is allied to a 5 speed constant mesh transmission with a gear-shift pattern of one gear down and 4 gears up.
As far as the mileage of this cruiser is concerned, this heavy weight cruiser does not offer a good mileage and end up delivering an overall mileage of only 15kmpl.
This motorcycle has a suspension system powered by telescopic forks at its front and hydraulic shock absorbers at its rear for better riding. Its braking system comprises a 300mm double disc at the front wheel and 230mm single disc at the rear for more safety. It is known for its acceleration power as it gets the top speed of 150kmph while it can touch the mark of 0-100kmph in just 8.5 seconds.
In terms of design, the bike states cruiser characteristics clearly. Bringing out the best design was a part of Hyosung's strategies aiming that the buyers will get impressed. It is not as chunky as other full size cruiser bikes are, however, looks pleasant. What confirms its prominent looks, is the long telescopic forks at the front and elongated handlebar. Its circular head light draws the attention. Hyosung GV650 has a body coloured front fender, which slightly covers its front tyre. The tyre and front fender offer it a macho look. The heavy usage of chrome is done on its body.
This cruiser is a fusion of performance genes, sporty styling and good handling. However, there will be almost nothing this bike giving as far as the mileage is concerned. To conquer the other bikes like Royal Enfield Thunderbird and Harley Davidson Fat Bob will be a mammoth task for GV650 Aquila Pro.
