Lohia Machinery Limited (LML) has introduced several two-wheelers in the Indian market. The first commuter by the company LML Freedom is among them, and it is available in two variants LS and DX. As far as LML Freedom DX is concerned it comes under 110cc commuter segment. It is apt for the rural terrains, highways and city traffic as well. It comes with a strong body which is the special feature of this commuter.
The bike is fitted with an air-cooled, 4 stroke, 2 valve, single-cylinder engine with 110cc displacement. It offers an output of 8.5bhp at 7750rpm with 8.5Nm at 5000rpm. The engine is matted with a 4 speed constant mesh type manual transmission. The bore, and stroke ratio of the bike is 53:49.5. It is provided with Keihin PB18 type carburetor, T-control tubular type chassis, C.D.I ignition and multiple oil-bath type clutch. The average mileage of this commuter is around 65kmpl. The bike achieves the top speed of 95kmph with a fuel-tank capacity of 12.5liters. The overall dimension of the bike is 2010mm x 725mm x 1080mm as length x width x height with a kerb weight of 119kg.
The motorcycle holds a halogen bulb headlamp and a new visor for vision clarity to the driver. It has electric start facility along with kick start. It is being offered in 5 different shades with dual tone color scheme. The saddle of the bike has improved padding to enhance the ease for both the rider and pillion. The bike has new tail lamp, silencer with chrome guard, side stand with gear lock and maintenance free 12V battery. The instrument console of the bike is furnished with an analogue fuel gauge, low fuel indicator and power LED speedometer. The company offers a warranty of 2 years or 30,000kms (whatever comes earlier) with the bike.
The bike has hydraulic telescopic fork of 100mm suspension at its front and adjustable 5-step chrome plated helical springs at its rear. It has drum mechanical expanding shoe type brakes at both front and rear ends. The bike has 18inch black alloy wheels with 2.75mm - 4PR/42P and 3mm - 6PR/52P front and rear wheel size respectively. It has a wheelbase of 1235mm with a ground clearance of 165mm.
So, LML Freedom DX is a commuter with a slightly high price range as compared to the features it offers. In the same segment, other bikes like Honda Dream Neo and Mahindra Centuro 110 offer more features at the same price tag. Thus they can be tough contenders to this bike.
