24 November 2011: The all new version of Suzuki GS 150R was launched on 24 November 2011. The older one was launched on 23rd October 2008. Most of the features of the bike are the same, the new features acknowledged in this version are new cowl, front fender, headlamp and some alternate changes are made to the engine to increase its performance. The new version was launched on the same price tag as its former was launched. The performance of the 2012 model was better than that of the 2009. The sound features installed in the bike are as follows:

* New sporty cowl changing the personality of the bike as well as the rider.

* Engine with Suzuki Jet Cooling System makes the performance more convincing.

* LED tail light with linked turn indicators looks beautiful from the back side.

* Its body graphics are captivating enough to turn a person in its side.

* Instrumentation done to the bike is unique and out of the world.

* Sixth gear of the bike is commendable increasing its smoothness and performance.

Suzuki GS150R, as the name suggests, is a part of the segment that is drawing the most profit, and is supposed to do so till long. The 150cc segment is already very congested as every company has introduced their two or three variants in it. It is difficult to take a rise from this segment because every player in this segment has very sharp features and design from some the biggest automobile giants like Yamaha, Bajaj, Hero Motocorp, Honda and many more. To give them a competition, Suzuki has introduced Suzuki GS150R after some advancements. The bike has an elegant and sober design. There is also a combo of analogue and digital instrument console showing speedometer, odometer, trip meter and fuel gauge digitally while the tachometer is of analogue type. The bike is made available in four vibrant colors, White, Pearl Nebular Black, Candy Dark Greenish Blue, and Candy Max Orange. The bike has normal design with normal measurement of length, width and height, 2095, 785 and 1120mm, respectively. Suzuki GS 150R weighs about 149kg for this sized frame. The ground clearance measure of the machine is 160mm while the seat height possession is 790mm. The wheelbase is quite appreciable at 1335mm. The bike is very comfortable and its handling and controlling is impressive. Suspension upfront is telescopic, coil springs, oil damped suspension equipped and at the rear there is a swing arm type coil spring, oil and gas damped suspension equipped. The bike is presented with a 240mm single disc brake at the front wheel and a 130mm drum brake at the rear wheel. The size of the front tyre is 2.75-18 42P while size of the rear one is 100/90-18 M/C 56P. The engine of the motorcycle gives a convincing performance with its air-cooled, 4-stroke, SOHC engine with a displacement of 149.5cc. The mill can generate a highest of 13.8BHP of power which is attainable at 8500RPM with a topmost torque value of 13.4Nm which is obtained at the acceleration of 6000RPM. The single cylinder engine is associated with a 6-speed manual transmission which does a 1 gear down and rest 5 gear up shift pattern. The top speed of the bike is amazing 120kmph. The machine can perform the quickest 0-60kmph in just 6 seconds. The fuel efficiency of the bike is appreciable at a mileage of 59kmpl, as claimed by the company, though our experience says it would return with a 50kmpl of mileage. The tank of the bike has the capacity to store a minimum of 15.5 liters which is more than enough.
