2006 :- Suzuki Intruder M1800R was launched in the year 2006, also known as Boulevard M109R in USA. In the year 2007, some alternate changes were made to make the bike better. The chromed metal construction was done over the cylinder, head cover, secondary cover and drive unit cover to enhance the quality of the bike. Next year in 2008, aerodynamics of the bike were increased and chromed look was given to the bike. In the year 2009, new colors of the bike were presented which were Pearl Nebular Black, Metallic Mystic Silver and Candy Dark Cherry Red. In 2010, two colors of the bike were available such as black and blue. Today, the bike is available with the features like:

* 1783cc, 4 stroke, 2-cylinder, liquid-cooled, DOHC, 54 degree V-twin engine gives the bike an outstanding power and torque value.
* SDTV fuel injection system makes the bike run smoothly at low engine rpm.

Suzuki Intruder M1800R gives you the perfect meaning of what a cruiser bike is. The bike is the most powerful Intruder ever introduced by the Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt. Ltd. The company has rolled out two other in Intruder range of bikes, one of which is a superior version of the bike and one is an entry level cruiser. The machine performances very well and its looks are just mind blowing. The instrument console of the bike is designed on the tank as well as on the top of the cowl of the machine which enhances its beauty. On the tank, there is a speedometer which is an analogue type while odometer, dual trip meter, fuel gauge and clock which are displayed in LCD. The digital type tachometer along with gear position indicator and LED indicator lights are present on the cowl. The bike is made available in two colors, Glass Sparkle Black and Pearl Mira Red.

Length, width and height of the cruiser can be measured as follows: 2480, 875 and 1130mm, respectively, at a weight of 347kg. Its wheelbase is 1710mm while its ground clearance is 130mm. The seat height of the bike is 705mm which helps in controlling this heavy machine. The suspension presented at the front of the cruiser is inverted telescopic, coil spring, oil damped, while at the rear is oil damped, link type, coil spring. The machine is equipped with tubeless tyres wherein front tyre size is 130/70R18 M/C 63V while size of the rear one is 240/40R18 M/C 79V. The 6-spoke alloy wheels of the bike look stunning which are equipped with a 320mm disc brake with twin piston caliper while the rear wheel is equipped with a 275mm disc brake.

Suzuki Intruder M1800R is a very heavy that cannot be pulled with a normal engine. The heart of the cruiser is a 4-stroke, 2-cylinder, liquid-cooled, DOHC, 54 degree V-twin engine which has a displacement of 1783cc. The engine works with a 5-speed manual transmission gearbox with 1 down and rest 4 up gear-shift pattern. The engine is capable enough to create the maximum power output of 127BHP at 6200RPM with the maximum torque value of 160Nm at the acceleration of 3200RPM. The fuel consumption of the machine is high. On city roads, it delivers 6kmpl of mileage while on highways it delivers 10kmpl of mileage; this could seem low, however, a cruiser bike can't be expected to be fuel efficient. To compensate with a low mileage the company has provided a big fuel tank with capacity of 19.5 liters, which however, couldn't suffice the loss of fuel! But still, a much loved bike, a heart stealer.
