Over all Review of Triumph Street Triple 675

Triumph Street Triple 675 Price

Overall Review

It seems like Triumph Motorcycles, one of the world’s leading bike making company, want to rule over the roads with its new sizzling model, Triumph Street Triple 675. The new model looks like the 1050 cc Triumph Speed Triple. The new member, 675 is the latest bike in the Speed Triple series by Triumph Motorcycles in its segment.
In the early 1990s, Triumph became one of the earliest adopters of a new style of motorcycles referred to as ‘streetfighters’. Triumph has set to bring the Street Triple to India along with the other six models. Since 2007, when the first model was launched, Triumph is high with its sales and demands all over.

Mileage and Fuel Economy

The best part on the bike is the mileage and the fuel economy. Inspite of such power and high class engine, the 675 Street Triple delivers a mileage around 14.1kmpL. But the astonishing part is that the bigger brother, 1050cc Street Triple delivers a mileage of 14.4kmpL. Yes! The smaller engine has lower fuel efficiency. It has a fuel capacity of 17L.

Colors

The muscular and sporty bike is available in various vibrant and metallic colors. The company chose to launch the motorcycle in red, white and black colors. Out of the three colors, the black looks the most attractive in the bike. However, Triumph also agrees to order the bikes in the customer’s choice of colors too. Since, the bike is available only in single colors, the company feels that the demand would increase with the availability of more colors of owner’s choice.

Acceleration and Pick up

The new model of Triumph superbike has got some awesome and eye-catching statistics in terms of acceleration and pick up. The sporty bike delivers a maximum power of 107bhp at 11700rpm. The bike also produces a maximum torque of 69Nm at 9100rpm which is really fantastic. Triumph Street Triple 675 has got a top speed of 141mph, that is, around 238kmph. It has got awesome figures regarding pick up too. The superbike touches the quarter mile in just 11.93sec. With such power and speed, this bike has done miracles in various races too. It touches 0 to 60mph in just 3.2sec.

Appearance

Triumph Street Triple 675 looks just like the Speed Triple but the engine placed in it is same like the Daytona 675. Daytona 675 is another model of Triumph Motorcycles. Overnight the new Triumph has made its rivals seem like relics. Street Triple 675 doesn’t have sporty fairing like other superbikes but it has open engines and leg rests. It gives the bike a rougher look with its naked body. The aggression is wrought in the metal itself. The twin headlights make the bike look out of the world with its fresh design. The tank, fender and tail are reshaped, and small cowls now reside on either side of the radiator. Triumph’s engineers and designers steepened the handle of the bike and shifted the engine a little forward to increase the handling. Pulling the bars back, sliding the foot-pegs forward, lowering and lengthening the seat compressed the cockpit to yield a more upright riding position. The headlights are changed to angular design for a much greater look. The first thing you visualize when sitting on the Triumph is the LCD multi-functional instrument gauge cluster. The analogue tachometer and digital speedometer are tidy and very readable and the fuel gauge came in handy on more than one occasion. In one sentence, the new model of Triumph is just awesome in appearance and surely will turn heads towards itself.

Comfort Feature

Street Triple feels bigger in all respects. The new model of Triumph has got awesome features regarding comfort too. First of all, if we talk about the seating position, then it has got an amazingly comfortable seat; it’s quite soft and has got sufficient padding. The bike can be ridden in a fast speed but the bike lacks the windshield but it doesn’t matter much on the performance.

Dimensions

The naked bike has a seat height of 32.5 inches and a wheelbase of 56.5 inches. The tyres measurement are: Front: 120/70 ZR17 and Rear: 190/55 ZR17.

Engine

Triumph Motorcycles has given the best engine to its new member in family. No other engine with such specifications will suit better for this motorcycle. The 675cc, liquid cooled, DOHC, in-line three cylinder engine is just powerful enough. The bike grunts, sounds great at full throttle. The gearbox attached in this bike is of six speed.

Wheels

The bike has got wide alloy wheels that gives it a much muscular look. Front tyre measures: 120/70 ZR17 and rear: 190/55 ZR17. Disc brakes are installed in both of the tyres with the measurements 2x308mm and 220mm, respectively.

Suspension

Suspension is provided in both front and rear that gives the Triumph a very compliant ride. The shocker is adjustable for rebound and compression. Thus, it gives the rider a full enjoyment with fewer bumps on the roads.

Handling and Control

The 6 speed gearbox isn’t much smoother. An ABS model is available too for extra security. The bike has a top speed of around 238kmph and controlling this speed is not an easy task to do. Ensuring the safety, Street Triple 675 has got everything it needs. The dual disc brakes supreme the control. The bike hasn’t got a fully adjustable suspension but the light-weight Triumph goes smoothly over every bump and hurdle on roads. It’s quite spacious which gives the rider a much greater control.

Pros

The style of the bike is just fresh in its design. With revamped styling and impressive performance, the new model will surely become the top in its segment. Triumph is ready with the bike to set new records.

Cons

The bike is naked and missing some features like windshields. It’s important to cut the gravity and it might be a little uncomfortable for the rider. However, it doesn’t affect much on the bike’s performance. For the price this motorcycle is very well made and has decent attention to detail.
