With the launch of new Apache RTR 160 on 30^th April, TVS Motor Company has taken its manufacturing and engineering to the next level with the bike’s beast themed appearance and muscular design. The daytime LED lights used are the first on any Indian bike.

TVS Apache RTR 160, one of the Apache models which has played a significant role in building the base of TVS Motor Company in the bikes segment. The design and styling of the bike is stunning, the bike comes with racing GT stripes painted all over it. LCD Dashboard embodies digital speedometer, trip meter, clock and fuel gauge and the tachometer available is of analogue type. At both the sides there are Aerodynamic fuel tank shrouds present. The service reminder and battery indicator furthermore common turn indicator, high-low beam indicator are there. The digital console also displays the data logging feature, same as the one available in race bikes, it shows the lap time between 0 and 60kmph and also the top speed indicator.

TVS Apache RTR 160 dimension measures are similar to other Apache variants, measures are, the length, width and height are 2085 mm, 730 mm and 1105 mm respectively. The kerb weight of the bike is 137kg, the ground clearance is 165 mm and the wheelbase is 1300 mm. There are six spoke alloy wheels and the size of the tubeless tyres are 90/90-17 inches of the front one and 110/80-17 inches of the rear. Also the wheels is equipped with a 270 mm disc brake and the rear one has a 130 mm drum brake. The suspensions embedded in the motorbike are, front one is a telescopic fork while at the rear end there is a monotube inverted gas filled shock (mig) with spring aid.

TVS Apache RTR 160 comes in few amazing colors such as Red, Green, Yellow and Gray. The machine has a 16 litres fuel carrying capacity with 2.5 litres reserve. It has both the options of kick start as well as self start. The mileage delivery of the bike is manageable as the power of the bike is a bit high. The fuel consumption of the bike is between 45-50kmpl. The engine equipped to run the bike is a 159.7cc, 4 stroke, single cylinder, air cooling engine which works with a 5 speed manual transmission where the gear shift pattern is one gear down and four gears up. The engine can produce 15.7BHP of maximum net power at 8500RPM and a peak torque of 13.1Nm which comes out at 6500 rpm. The top speed of the bike is 120kmph which is possible because of electronic fuel injection system. The bike can rev up from 0 to 60kmph in just 5.5 seconds. The performance of the engine is pretty admirable.
