India’s third largest two wheeler manufacturer, TVS Motors, introduced the first clutch free bike to the people of the country. TVS has already introduced a clutchless bike in Indonesia and now the technology has been brought to India in TVS Jive. With the amazing, T-Matic technology, the machine is able to have gear shifting without manual effort. It also comes with a first time feature of under seat storage space, handsfree gearshift, gear indicator and four speed transmission in an Indian bike. For a pleasant ride even at a low speed while keeping the engine on, anti stall mechanism feature is built in. Jive can be turned on at any gear, the bike will automatically do the respective transmissions for a smoother ride, neutral mode is not necessary for it.

TVS Jive can be a competition to both the segments, bikes as well as gearless scooters, as it can be suitable for both men and women. This machine comes in three pleasing colours which are black, blue and red which are further crafted with beautiful graphics. The instrument panel present is divided into two parts, one pod includes the gear indicators and the other one consists of fuel gauge, speedometer and other indicators displaying general information. The dimensions of the bike are also standard, the length is 1975 mm, height is 1060 mm and the width is 700 mm whereas the ground clearance is 165 mm and the wheelbase is 1260 mm with a kerb weight of 115 kg.

TVS Jive is equipped with Inline Telescopic suspension at the front and hydraulic twin shock absorbers with coil spring at the rear. The specifications of these alloy wheels present are 2.75 x 17 inches is the size of front tyre and 3.00 x 17 inches is the size of the rear one. Further, these wheels are loaded with 130 mm drum brakes at the front while 110 mm drum brakes at the rear.

TVS Jive is installed with a 109.7cc, 4-stroke, mono cylinder, air cooling engine which works on 5 automatic gears because of the T-Matic and anti-stall mechanism. The engine has a good pick-up as it can cause 8.4 bhp at the acceleration of 7500 rpm and the maximum torque of 8.3 Nm obtained at 5500 rpm. The top speed of the bike is 90 kmph. The fuel consumption of the bike on the roads of the city is 55 Kmpl and on the highways the fuel consumption is 70 Kmpl. The fuel tank capacity of the bike is 15 litres including 2.1 litre reserve.

Mileage and Fuel Economy

In a country like India where petrol will soon be treated as the synonym for gold and other precious metals, fuel economy certainly becomes the most over looked feature while purchasing a new vehicle. It’s is one of those 110cc competitive bikes in the market which everything thinks of making sure to try it. Jive is one of those bikes which is solely made for Indian roads and for people who are budgeting on their travel expenses. TVS Jive with all its gracious features also delivers a good mileage of about 60kmpl on city roads. It has a fuel tank of 15 litres including 2.1 litres of reserve so that the journey doesn’t stops.

Colors

Talking about the colours and graphics of this monster bike now, first in its class TVS Jive is available in four attractive shades viz. Red, Blue, Black red, and Black gold with cool graphics and decals at the fuel tank and side panels. The body colour is sprayed at rest of the body of the bike barring the rear view mirrors. The heat shield of the silencer is painted in silver colour.

The bike comes in high density foam seat that provides a good balance and comfort to both the rider and the pillion as well. The rear grab bar looks charming in black as it matches with the seat cover colour.
