Tvs Star City Review

TVS Star City, an advanced variant of TVS Star series, is yet another commuter segemtn bike by the company, which has been amazingly designed with new features and body graphics making it look more beautiful. The dashboard looks better with the digital and analog features. Due to the lightweight of the engine and decreased frictional losses has helped in betterment of mileage and speed. The mileage delivery of the bike is superb; the fuel consumption of the machine on the tight roads of the city is 60-65kmpl while on the free highways the mileage increases to 83.9kmpl. The bike can be a great option to travel long distances without any tension as it comes with a huge 16 litre tank with the fuel consumption already being pretty low; here 2.5 litre is of reserve from 16 litres fuel.

TVS Star City has suitable dimensions which are: length is 2002 mm, width is 700 mm and the height is 1058 mm. The dry mass weight and the kerb weight of the motorcycle is 95kgs and 115kgs, respectively. The wheelbase is of 1240mm while the ground clearance is 165 mm. The specifications of the alloy wheels are: the size of the front tyre is 2.75 x 18 mm and that of the rear one is 3.00 x 18 mm. These wheels are stopped with the help of a 130mm drum brakes at the front and a 110mm drum brakes at the rear wheel. The suspensions fitted out are, telescopic forks is at the front and hydraulic, coaxial springs is at the rear end. The body of the machine comes in dual tone, the combinations present are Black with Yellow, Black with Green, Black with Red, Black with Blue, Black with Silver and also comes in single Red colour.

TVS Star City is not only a fuel efficient bike, it has also got some power also as a 109.7cc, OHC, single cylinder, air cooling engine which is combined with a 4 shift manual gearbox with all down gear shifting pattern. The engine is capable enough to generate 8.2 Bhp of maximum power at the acceleration of 7500RPM and the maximum torque value of 8.1Nm produced at 5000RPM. The bike can run at a top speed of 85kmph which is not at all acceptable from a 110cc bike. The machine can score 0 to 60kmph speed in just 7 seconds.

TVS Star City delivers mileage of 60-65kmpl on city roads and even above that on highways. This 110cc bike is gifted with a fuel tank of capacity 16 litres with 2.5 litres of reserve, so that there is no obstacle in the journey and it continues even when the petrol tank gets empty. Light engine mass and reduced frictional losses increase mileage and speed.

This new motorbike is renovated with completely new dual tone graphics. The new bike replaced the clumsy-looking chrome metal mudguards with attractive modern plastic units. Modifications have been in almost every part of this motorbike including the silencer too as it has been gifted with a heat shield over it. For better comfort in riding, TVS has included some advanced tools like speedometer, tachometer, fuel gauge and some other indicators. It has a company name sticker on the fuel tank; the 3d style makes the bike a eye-catching piece The wheels are embedded with alloys giving it a grand look. The whole new TVS Star City is blessed with a bold front mask with an aerodynamic black tinted wind screen over it. The other exciting features of this bike include turn indicators on both sides , rider switch and black colour rear view mirrors. This time TVS Star City features new instrument panels in which speedometer, fuel gauge and other common indicators are fitted.

Talking about the comfort feature now, well TVS Star City has been gifted with a mobile charger socket behind the front left turn indicator. TVS motor company has intelligently designed this motorbike with a long, wide and comfortable seat. Keeping the comfort of pillion too the company has fitted grab rails, foot pegs, footrests. The suspension system of this motorbike adds icing to the cake, it is really comfortable for the driver on bumpy roads as it prevents from the shocks.
