Yamaha has introduced Yamaha Fazer Sports to stand in the commuter segment of bikes. The design of the variant has been taken from the racing models, the Fazer series which is worldwide famous. Yamaha has brought a high class bike into a commuter segment. The machine has great looks with appreciable features and engine capability. Yamaha has always been the one to surprise people with its innovations, this bike is surely an example of this compliment.This bike will give a tough competition to Bajaj Pulsar 150, Suzuki GS 150R, Hero MotoCorp Impulse, Honda CB Dazzler, etc., which are all 150cc segment bikes. This Yamaha model beats its competitor when it comes to looks and built. The dual toned aerodynamic front cowl, its superb rear radial tyre and a strong and muscular wind protector are some of its beautiful features of this machine.
Yamaha Fazer Sports has a great body, it is 2075mm long, 761mm wide and 1119mm tall. The kerb weight of the machine is 141kg whereas the ground clearance and wheelbase of this bike is 160mm and 1334mm, respectively. The tyre specifications of the vehicle are, front tyre measures 100/80-17 inches and the rear tyre measures 140/60-R17 inches. The rear tyre is a wider radial tyre which gives a nice handling, stability and an enhanced grip. These are 5-spoke 17-inches alloys wheels equipped with 267mm hydraulic disc breaks at the front and the rear one with the standard drum brakes. The suspensions installed in the machine for stress free ride, the front wheel is installed with the telescopic type and the rear one with a monocross type suspension. There is a digital instrument console presented with the bike which includes, speedometer, trip meter, tachometer and fuel gauge. The bike comes in a few exuberant color combinations, Streak Red, Milestone Black, Rising Red and Getaway Blue. The bike is also provided with a self Start option.
Yamaha Fazer Sports is embedded with a forward-inclined single cylinder, air-cooled, 4-stroke, SOHC, 2-valve with a displacement of 153cc. The engine is associated with a constant mesh 5-speed transmission type. The engine can produce 14PS of maximum power at 7500rpm with the peak torque output of 13.6Nm which comes out at 6000rpm. The top speed mark of the bike is 132kmph. The mileage delivery of the bike is quite low, the company claims that it will deliver a mileage of 40kmpl but the mileage will surely fall down around 35-36kmpl. The fuel tank capacity of the machine is 12 liters.
