Yamaha FZ16 is a revolutionary bike by the eternal manufacturer, Yamaha, has totally changed the history of the company as well as the concept of bikes for the people. The bike brought back the lost trust of people on Yamaha. This bike turned the market upside down as it was a great seller and with its amazing features and looks, many people appreciated the bike as well as the company. The design of the bike is taken from the Yamaha's racing model, FZ1, a 1000cc bike. The bike has looks of a naked sports, with designing that can turn on people. The all-digital instrument cluster console is the an attractive feature, with all its tachometer, odometer, fuel gauge, speedometer and trip meter. Also the first time presented ever in any Indian bike, the radial tyre.

Not overlooking the design appeal of Yamaha FZ16, it has been given dimensions measuring 1973mm in length, 770mm in width, and 1045mm in height. The kerb weight of the machine is 135kg whereas the minimum ground clearance and the wheelbase possessed by it is 160 mm and 1334 mm, respectively. The height of the seat is 790 mm. The size of the tyres which make it run are, at the front there is a 100/80-17 inches tyre; at the rear, it is a 140/60-R17 inches tyre. The front tyre is applied with a 267mm hydraulic disc and the rear one comes with a 130mm drum brakes. These 5 spoke alloys are installed with a 41mm telescopic forks at the front and a monocross suspension at the rear which makes the ride less tiring and stress free by providing huge comfort. The bike has been bestowed with three trendy shades, that is, Absolute Black, Brute Blue, Storming Red.

Yamaha FZ 16 has the installment of a single cylinder, air-cooled, 4-stroke, SOHC engine which has a displacement of 153cc. The engine gets its working done with a 5 speed manual transmission which has one gear down and five gear up gear shift pattern. The engine can produce a maximum power of 14PS at the acceleration of 7500 rpm and a peak torque value of 13.6 Nm which comes out at 6000 rpm. The top speed of the bike is 132 kmph. The mileage delivery of the bike is a negative point for the bike. The bike gives a mileage of 36 kmpl on the city roads whereas on the highways the can deliver up to 47 kmpl which is quite low in comparison to other bikes in this segment.
