Yamaha Sz Sports Review

Yamaha has filled the 150cc segment with value for money bikes such as FZ series, Fazer sports and SZ series. One of the most beautifully designed bike in this series is Yamaha SZ Sports which comes with most admirable design and styling. The bike has a pleasant appearance with a fuel an efficient engine as well. The bike has three models, one is Yamaha SZ R, Yamaha SZ X 150 and Yamaha SZ Sports. Yamaha SZ R model is the latest variant which features front disc brake, new color choices, tachometer and fenders around the tank that enhanced the look of the beauty. SZ X 150 and SZ Sports lack a few features, which ultimately make them a kind of black sheep of the lot. Though, SZ Sports may lack all those out-of-the-world features, but it still stands out as a strong competitor to other bikes in this segment. The features provided when compared with the price that the bike is offered at is enough to lure consumers to it.

Yamaha SZ Sports comes in two colors, Red and Black. There is a fully analogue type instrument console which consists of tachometer, odometer, speedometer and fuel gauge, it lacks a trip meter and does not even posses a self-start option. The dimensions of the bike are: 2,050mm (length) x 730mm (width) × 1,100mm (height). The kerb weight of the motorcycle is 135kg whereas the wheelbase is 1320mm and the minimum ground clearance is a good 165 mm. Both the wheels being alloy and tube type, measure: front wheel is 2.75-17 41P which comes with 150mm drum brakes whereas the rear wheel is also a  2.75-17 55P which is installed with a 130mm drum brakes. The suspension present at the front wheel is a telescopic suspension and the one present at the rear is a swingarm suspension.

Yamaha SZ Sports runs on a single cylinder, air-cooled, 4-stroke, SOHC engine with a displacement of 153cc. The engine is associated with a 5 speed manual transmission and its capabilities are, the maximum power it can produce is of 12.1PS at the acceleration of 7,500 rpm and the utmost peak value of 12.1PS  which comes out at  7,500 rpm. The top speed of the bike is 105 kmph whereas it can run from 0-60 in just 6 seconds. The engine is also fuel efficient, its fuel consumption on the roads of the city is 45 kmpl and on the highways it is 60 kmpl which is quite impressive from a 150 cc segment bike. The bike has a fuel tank capacity of 14 litres which is enough for the bike.
