Yamaha bikes are well known for being highly reliable and durable. Yamaha YBR 125 is a 125cc bike by Yamaha Motors, the kind of a bike that most of us Indians prefer, highly fuel efficient, along with a strong built to make it last for years. The vehicle is built for the people who want a bike that is highly durable and can perform any task in any condition. It also has its younger sibling, Yamaha YBR 110 which has small engine. Meant to fit in just everybody and anybody's budget, the bike is quite affordable , since it has not been fitted any special feature such that it would cross the budget being outstanding or eye pleasing. The bike has a nice, sober look but its mileage delivery and built makes it a competitive vehicle. The bike is made available in three shades, Red, Black and a combination of Red with Black. Yamaha YBR 125 has a simple designing, the standard dimensions are 2,065mm x 730mm × 1,100mm (length x width x height). The kerb weight of the bike is 124kg with a ground clearance of 180mm, much higher than the most of the other bikes of its segment. The minimum ground clearance of the vehicle is 1300mm and the seat height is 795mm. The bike is installed with a telescopic type suspension at the front and a swing arm type suspension at the rear. The wheels running with the machine are 5 spoke alloy wheels and their specifications are, front wheel is 2.75-18" 4PR and the rear is 3.00-18 6PR. There are no disc brakes presented, the front as well as rear wheels are equipped with standard drum brakes. The instrument console contains a speedometer, fuel gauge and a odometer, all analog type.

Yamaha YBR 125 has a strong built as it is framed on a double cradle type-tubular type chassis. The bike is powered by an air-cooled, 4-stroke, SOHC, single cylinder, 123cc engine and is mated with a 4-speed manual gearbox with a gear shift pattern of one gear down and three gears up-shift. The engine can create a maximum net power of 10.88PS which can be achieved at 7,500RPM with a maximum torque value of 10.4Nm when stretched at 6500RPM. The machine takes just 6 seconds to go from 0 to 60kmph. The top speed achievable by the vehicle is 100kmph. The multiple wet type clutch makes the transmissions smooth. The fuel efficiency of the bike can be judged by its mileage delivery. On the city roads, the fuel consumption is 60kmpl and on highways it is 70kmph. The fuel tank can store 13.6 liters of petrol.
